Extensions
Born in a digital environment, realised by hand in stone.
Extensions was developed during my MFA at the University of Applied Sciences in Trier, Campus Idar-Oberstein. From the earliest stone tools to the internet, technology has always reshaped our relationship with the world — and with matter itself.
Each piece was first designed in 3D modeling software, then hand-carved in stone, pushing as close as possible to the precision of the digital original. Rock crystal, sodalite, amethyst, obsidian, cacholong, rose quartz, chalcedony — simple forms, volumes and negative spaces, sculptures conceived to be worn.
