A 5-day immersive stone carving experience
INTENSIVE
Pietra Viva Intensive is for those who wish to spend more time working with stone.
The extended format allows participants to move beyond the fundamentals and dedicate more time to technical development, experimentation and project refinement. Depending on individual interests, specific techniques can be explored in greater depth, allowing participants to focus on processes that best support their own style, creative language and goals.
With five days in the studio, there is also the opportunity to undertake more ambitious projects and, depending on their complexity, complete multiple pieces throughout the workshop. The additional time encourages a deeper engagement with the material and a more personal approach to working with stone.

Participants : Maximum 2 participants
Suitable for : Beginners, artists, designers, jewellery makers and anyone interested in learning the fundamentals of stone carving. No previous experience is required.

Location : Private studio in Ostia Lido, Rome, Italy
Fees & booking
Workshop Fee : € 1.500 per participant
Deposit : € 450 per participant
A deposit is required to secure your place. The remaining balance is due before the workshop begins.

The extended format creates the opportunity to explore specific techniques in greater depth. Depending on the participant's interests, the workshop may focus on:
Three-dimensional carving
Relief carving and cameo
Intaglio and reverse intaglio
Texture creation and surface exploration
Sculptural approaches to stone
Finishing and surface treatments
Developing a personal project from concept to completion
Each workshop follows a different path, and the techniques explored will be selected according to the participant's goals and creative interests.
